Headline: Extra Ordinary Annual General Assembly Convenes at Kigali Convention Center on 7th December 2023

In a significant gathering at the prestigious Kigali Convention Center (KCC) on the 7th of December 2023, IER has convened its much-anticipated Extra Ordinary Annual General Assembly (AGM). This pivotal event marks a crucial juncture for members discuss key reports and outline plans that will profoundly influence its future trajectory

Adoption of External Audit Report for the Year 2022:

Members engaged in a detailed discussion and subsequently adopted the external audit report for the financial year 2022. The thorough examination reaffirms the commitment to transparency and accountability in the financial operations of the institution.

Adoption of Minutes from the Extra Ordinary AGM (25th May 2022):

A retrospective review and discussion on the minutes from the previous Extra Ordinary AGM held on the 25th of May 2022 took place. Members provided valuable insights, and the minutes were officially adopted after incorporating the feedback.

Annual Activity Report for the Year 2023:

Members actively participated in a comprehensive discussion on the institution's activities and achievements throughout the year 2023. The report, presented in detail, provided members with valuable insights into the organization's performance, milestones achieved, and challenges faced.

Action Plan and Budget for the Year 2024:

A robust discussion ensued regarding the action plan and budget for the upcoming year, 2024. Members provided constructive input, leading to adjustments and refinements to ensure alignment with the strategic direction of the institution.

Financial Sustainability Proposal:

Members deliberated on a detailed proposal aimed at ensuring the long-term financial stability of the organization. The discussion focused on strategies to enhance financial sustainability and secure the Institution'sfuture.

Strategic Plan, Engineering Magazine, and Digital Portal:

The AGM featured the unveiling and in-depth discussion of the organization's strategic plan, showcasing the roadmap for growth and development. Additionally, plans for the launch of an engineering magazine and a digital portal were presented, with members actively engaging in discussions around these innovative initiatives.

With the Extra Ordinary AGM now convened, members actively contributed to the decision-making processes, shaping the future of IER. The event successfully fostered collaboration, transparency, and collective efforts towards the organization's overarching goals.

Members' active participation in discussions ensures that their voices are heard and their perspectives contribute to the institution's continued success. The Extra Ordinary AGM has indeed marked a momentous occasion, signifying a new chapter in the journey of  IER
